In Aspern North near Vienna, the new bridge support structure for streetcar line 27 is currently being built by the Kostmann team.
With a length of 120 meters and a width of 14.5 meters, the bridge crosses existing traffic routes, including the U2 subway line and an ÖBB railroad line, which makes the project particularly challenging.
The use of prefabricated girders means that assembly can be carried out quickly, shortening the construction time and minimizing disruption to traffic.
This project marks an important step towards a modern and efficient infrastructure for Vienna. Construction work began in January 2024 and will continue until fall 2025.
