As part of the current apprentice project "Step by step to a staircase", our construction apprentices were able to learn about everything from the basics of staircase geometry to the technical implementation of an in-situ concrete staircase.
True to the motto of learning by doing, the theoretical and planning basics were worked out first, then it was on to the execution - shuttering, reinforcing, concreting.
The training was rounded off with a "lesson in concrete technology" and a visit to the mixing plant in Klagenfurt. The project was completed with a 1:2 scale spiral staircase.
