Over the last 3 months, the Kostmann team has carried out the challenging sediment removal of the Roßwiese reservoir. A total of 19,500 m³ of sediment was removed in just under 5 weeks in two shifts and professionally deposited in a specially prepared area.
Almost 50 years after the first clearing of the reservoir in 1975 - also by the Kostmann company - we took on this challenge again in 2024 and successfully completed the project.
Another highlight was the use of the powerful crane that actively supported us in this project. With a lifting capacity of up to 25 tons and a 50-metre boom, it handled the transport of 2900 skips of heavy sediment.
